Stokesley 3s 3–5 Stockton 4s
Stokesley 3s faced Stockton 4s in a tight and entertaining contest, with chances at both ends throughout. Both sides fielded younger players who showed real signs of development, making for an enjoyable game full of energy, attacking play and determination.

Stockton made the most of their early opportunities, building a 3–0 advantage. Stokesley responded well, however, with a well-constructed move finished superbly by Teddy to get Stokesley on the scoresheet and give the side a boost heading into the break.
Stokesley carried that momentum into the second half, continuing to create chances and put pressure on the Stockton defence. A quick move from the sidelines into the centre of the pitch opened up the opportunity for Harry to finish and bring Stokesley closer. The game remained finely balanced, with both teams creating opportunities. Stokesley were unlucky on two occasions, striking the post as they searched for another goal.
Despite Stokesley’s continued efforts, Stockton took their chances at the other end to extend their lead to 5–2. Stokesley never gave up, and Prunty added a third goal just before the final whistle to bring the score to 5–3.
Although the result went Stockton’s way, there were plenty of positives for Stokesley 3s to take from the performance. The team created numerous chances, showed real determination and, most importantly, demonstrated how well the younger players are beginning to gel as a side.
Stokesley 3s now head into a two-week break and can be proud of the progress made during the first part of the season. This is a team full of talent, growing in confidence and understanding with every game, and one that continues to show the same fighting spirit from the first whistle to the last.
There is plenty to build on, and the future looks bright for Stokesley 3s!
Next game: bye week
