WHAT'S ON - CLUB SOCIALS
Our social calendar is all about bringing the club together off the pitch, with regular events throughout the season for players, families and friends to relax, have fun and enjoy being part of the Stokesley Hockey Club community.
Social Events 2026/2027
October 2026
When: Saturday 3rd October 26
What: Ten Pin Bowling Night - A fun, family-friendly evening bringing together juniors, senior players and parents. We’ll mix everyone across the lanes for a relaxed bit of friendly competition, followed by food and a chance to socialise afterwards.

When: Sunday 11th October 26
What: Mixed Hockey Club Match – Open to anyone interested in playing mixed hockey. Players from both the Stokesley Ladies and Men’s sections will be split into two teams on the day for a fun, friendly club match. Afterwards, we’ll head back to The Chapel for some food, a few drinks and a chance to socialise.

When: Saturday 31st October 26
What: Halloween Social – A fun, fancy-dress evening open to everyone across the club, with juniors, seniors and families all welcome. After the main event, the adults can keep the night going with a few more drinks and head into Yarm.

November 2026
When: Saturday 21st November 26
What: Quiz Night – A fun, family-friendly quiz night for players, juniors, parents and friends, with a mix of junior and adult rounds and teams made up across the club. We’re also hoping to make this a joint social with the Ladies’ section, bringing everyone together for some friendly competition and a great night off the pitch.

December 2026
When: Saturday 5th December 26
What: Christmas Party – We’ll start the festivities with an early evening Junior Christmas Party, with games, activities and a special visit from Santa – a role I am sure can be reserved for the Social Secretary. In the evening, the celebrations continue with the Adults’ Christmas Party, bringing everyone together for food, drinks and a proper festive club night.

When: Tuesday 8th December 26
What: Padel Tournament – With training finished as we head into the winter break, our popular Padel Tournament is back by popular demand. We’ll be using the same format as last time, with plenty of friendly competition and another chance to see who can claim the club bragging rights.

January 2027
When: Saturday 30th January 27
What: Level X Middlesbrough – A fun-filled club social with plenty to choose from, including bowling, go-karting, mini golf, arcades, pool, darts, roller skating and more. A great chance to get everyone together for some friendly competition and a relaxed night away from the pitch.

February 2027
When: Saturday 13th February 27
What: Go-Karting Social – With a slip date in the calendar, there’s no better way to fill it than by getting out on the track. We’ll be heading to Southbank Race Track to see who can set the fastest lap and claim the club’s racing bragging rights.

When: Saturday 20th February 27
What: Newcastle Night Out – With both the 1s and 2s away at Newcastle University, it’s the perfect excuse to make a night of it. Once the games are finished, we’ll get changed and head into Newcastle for an adults-only evening out with the club.

March 2027
When: Saturday 13th March 27
What: Fundraising Night – An evening of live music, fundraising games, a raffle and silent auction, all in support of the club. Juniors can get involved with the fundraising activities earlier in the day before the evening entertainment gets underway.

April 2027
When: Saturday 3rd April 27
What: Club Family & Hockey Day – A full day of hockey, games and friendly competition for all ages. Mixed-age teams will take on hockey challenges, relay races, five-a-side football and family games, before everyone gets together for a BBQ.
On the pitch, we’ll also turn back the clock with Former Captains & Old Boys v Current Captains & Players, followed by a Mixed Hockey Match to round off the day.

May 2027
When: Saturday 8th May 27
What: Stokesley Hockey Club Golf Day – Our first-ever club golf day, bringing players, members, friends and supporters together for a relaxed day on the course. Expect plenty of friendly competition, team challenges and a few prizes along the way, followed by food and drinks afterwards. Whether you’re a regular golfer or just coming along for the social side, everyone is welcome.

When: Saturday 15th May 27
What: Black Tie End of Season Awards Evening – Our end-of-season celebration bringing the whole club together to recognise the year’s achievements. The evening will include a formal dinner, annual awards, speeches, raffle and dancing.
Junior players will also be invited to an earlier awards reception, giving them the chance to be part of the celebrations before the evening continues for the senior section.
