Stokesley 3s got off to a flying start against Norton 3s, taking the game to their opponents from the opening whistle.

The early pressure was rewarded within the first five minutes when Stokesley won a short corner. Captain Jonny stepped up to confidently convert the opportunity and put Stokesley 1–0 ahead.

Stokesley continued to create chances and looked increasingly dangerous in attack. Their pressure eventually paid off again, with Ethan finding the back of the net to double the advantage and send Stokesley into half-time with a deserved 2–0 lead.

After the break, Stokesley stepped up another gear, making excellent use of the width and moving the ball with greater purpose. Their improved attacking play created space and opportunities, and the third goal came from a quick counter-attack. Chris Slade carried the ball out wide before calmly slotting it past the Norton keeper to make it 3–0.

Norton continued to create opportunities of their own, but Stokesley's defensive organisation and strong cover kept the visitors at bay and preserved the clean sheet.

With the game entering its final minute, Stokesley added a fourth from another well-worked short-corner routine. Gabriel played the ball to Jonny, whose effort was saved by the Norton keeper. However, the ball trickled over the line to complete the scoring and secure a convincing 4–0 victory for Stokesley.

There are still areas for Stokesley to develop, but the performance showed clear signs of progress. The team continue to work hard, and the result demonstrates that they are moving in the right direction.

Stokesley 3s will look to build on this performance in their next fixture, an away trip to face Redcar.
