The first half saw Stokesley burst into action, dominating possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. The deadlock was broken when Rob, capitalising on a sublime assist from the author, sent a blistering shot past the goalkeeper. The crowd roared in approval, sensing that this was just the beginning.

The second goal of the half was a masterclass in quick, incisive hockey. Starting with Oscar in midfield, the ball was worked through a series of slick passes, eventually finding its way to Ethan, who made no mistake in doubling the lead. The impeccable teamwork left the opposition bewildered and chasing shadows.

As the second half commenced, Stokesley continued their relentless attack, peppering the opposition's goal with a barrage of attempts. Rob sealed the match with his second of the day, latching onto a loose ball following a broken-down attack. The turnover was orchestrated by John McAfee, whose keen eye for opportunity enabled him to quickly feed the ball back to Rob for the decisive strike.

Although it was a team effort, special mention must go to Callum, who was awarded Man of the Match. Callum was the linchpin in midfield, putting in an extraordinary shift that included both defensive stops and offensive distribution. His ball-handling skills were second to none, and he kept the tempo high, ensuring that Stokesley were always on the front foot.

In summary, this was not just a win, but a statement of intent from Stokesley Men's Hockey Third Team.
