End of season review - Men's 1's

League Position: 2nd

Player of the season: Tom Atha

The men's first team had a highly successful season, achieving our primary goal of promotion to the Northern League with a commendable second-place finish. Additionally, we were runners-up in the National Tier 3 Cup, marking a historic milestone for the club. This cup run was an incredible experience for everyone involved, bringing the entire club together and strengthening our camaraderie. The final at Lee Valley Arena, despite not going our way, was a memorable event that showcased the spirit and unity of our team and supporters.

This season, we welcomed four new players to the first team, who have integrated seamlessly and significantly strengthened our squad, contributing to our promotion. Our strategy now includes moving some players to the second team to bolster their ranks and support their objectives for the upcoming year.

Despite having a large squad of over 21 players, availability for key games has occasionally been a challenge. To address this, we plan to recruit more first-team-level players during the summer, which will also help in maintaining the strength across all teams.

As captain, I am extremely proud of the team's performance and the progress we have made. Achieving our major goals and integrating new, younger talent into the squad makes this season a complete success.
